Niharika Das

Niharika Das was born on 19th November 1955 to Rajkishore Das and Saubhagyamanjari Das in Bodhapur village under Kishore Nagar P.S. in the district of Cuttack. Having completed her Master Degree, she joined as a Lecturer in History in Cuttack City College, Rajabagicha, Cuttack in 1979.
She was one of the eleven founder members of the ‘Rashtravadi Shikshak Parishad, Odisha’ which was established in the year 1993. She was an active and constant companion of her husband, Narayan Mohanty, in all his organizational works.
Niharika Das suffered from a rare disorder, systemic sclerosis, and was treated in S.C.B. Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and S.G. Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, but left for her heavenly abode on the 14th of December, 1994.
